Denim skirt ting.

Well hello there Blogger world, It's G here. I know it's been a little while since me and S posting something but we have both been mega busy.
I thought i would do a little solo post while S is sleeping. We haven't mentioned before but S and i live together along with our other best buddy. The other night i casually heard S complaining (i don't know if she was talking to me or the wall, probably the wall) about how denim skirts are making they're way back in, and also how much she dislikes them. So i thought i'd do a cheeky little post in reply to her comments on how much i LOOOOOOOVE them.

You can get many different styles in denim skirts; Mini, ULTRA MINI, rara, pencil, maxi, layered up with lots of patchwork material ones (no clue what they're called). But i am not a fan of just any denim skirt, i'm a fan of the high waist pencil denim skirt, 1980's style.

I'm sure everyone in the British loving world is familiar to the ever amazing film and continuation TV show franchise 'This is England'. Well today i am going to be doing a little D.I.Y on how to bleach it up to look skin head/mod-esque.

LETS GO:
All you need really is a denim skirt, preferably a pencil for this particular look, a spray bottle and some bleach.
I got my skirt from Tesco because im cheap and my mum gets there so DISCOUNTS.
The spray bottle was from the 99p store and its AWFUL, so i just use the little tube attached to the nozzle to sort of just drip the bleach onto the skirt. Also i bought the biggest bottle of all purpose bleach i could get from the 99p store and let me tell you, that stuff is FABULOUS.

Yes i am using candle light, not because im poor and cant afford electricity but because i have a red light bulb in my room so it is considerably dark in here and it is 02:08 in the morning. But this is the skirt i am using, Its quite dark and has some high lighted lines down the panelling.

Thats the world worst spray bottle right there...

Okay so lets jump right in, just spray or drip away with the bleach all over the skirt and don't be shy, it wont bite you and if you make a mistake who's to know right?
I accidentally made cherries with the bleach EEK OMG!!!

04:10am... Yes this takes some commitment, one candle has died. I've stopped to watch the magic happen and have a waffle and nutella break. Also heres a creepy little photo of me as i am going a little crazy just watching spots appear. :D

Once you feel happy with the amount of bleach you have put on and what it looks like, you're ready to rinse. I usually just run the hot tap in the bath, and repeatedly soak and wring it until all the bubbles disappear. Once it is clean you hang it to dry and you have the finished product. Mine looks like this!

Hope you have enjoyed this post :) I will post an OOTD soon featuring the skirt so you can see what it looks like on and what i would style with it.

Ciao for now! G xo

DIY! Paris runway twist on your creepers

Hello Hello! We meet again... After much fooling around here is *finally* a post on my home DIY version of the Lie Sang Bong brothel creepers (oh, sorry..the technical term is 'raised platform lace-ups' or some crazy euphemism like that..). I fell in love with the South Korean designer's latest collection at first glance, and as soon as I noticed the shoe details I started looking for them everywhere! I actually haven't found them available for retail, but at 21 years old my feet are a ridiculous size 1 anyways so my only option was to customize some shoes at home.

I could not find any metallic shoes in my stoopid tiny size but I got a pair of these PU creepers from eBay. In regular human sizes you can find them (and even in other cooler colors and metallics) for about
£10 :) And, craving some silver tones as I was, decided to do some of this artsy fancy linear freehand brushstrokes with some old nailpolish I found around the house and this is how my mini-creepers look now!

As you can see I didn't think improvising on my absolutely new unworn shoes was enough so I also decided to cover the black laces in glitter! I'm actually really happy with the result, I feel like these little pleather feet shelters are my new friends :') AND the collateral damage from the DYI experience was almost as good as the final result... glittery moss under my nails! Aaaahh!!!!!!! It's like an inverted manicure!! I actually love love love it and I am thinking of painting the tip of my fingers under my nails with clear glitter nailpolish on a regular basis for an out-of-the-box sparkly vibe.

Peace and fucking! x S
