Hello Hello! We meet again... After much fooling around here is *finally* a post on my home DIY version of the Lie Sang Bong brothel creepers (oh, sorry..the technical term is 'raised platform lace-ups' or some crazy euphemism like that..). I fell in love with the South Korean designer's latest collection at first glance, and as soon as I noticed the shoe details I started looking for them everywhere! I actually haven't found them available for retail, but at 21 years old my feet are a ridiculous size 1 anyways so my only option was to customize some shoes at home.
I could not find any metallic shoes in my stoopid tiny size but I got a pair of these PU creepers from eBay. In regular human sizes you can find them (and even in other cooler colors and metallics) for about £10 :) And, craving some silver tones as I was, decided to do some of this artsy fancy linear freehand brushstrokes with some old nailpolish I found around the house and this is how my mini-creepers look now!
As you can see I didn't think improvising on my absolutely new unworn shoes was enough so I also decided to cover the black laces in glitter! I'm actually really happy with the result, I feel like these little pleather feet shelters are my new friends :') AND the collateral damage from the DYI experience was almost as good as the final result... glittery moss under my nails! Aaaahh!!!!!!! It's like an inverted manicure!! I actually love love love it and I am thinking of painting the tip of my fingers under my nails with clear glitter nailpolish on a regular basis for an out-of-the-box sparkly vibe.
Peace and fucking! x S
